One of our top five skin complaints is, enlarged pores and uneven skin texture.
Here is what can be done to improve it.
Orange peels skin is descriptive term, not a medical diagnosis. It refers to skin that appears textured, dimpled, or uneven, similar to the surface of an orange. This is very common and can affect all skin types.
This type of texture usually develops due to a combination of factors.
Enlarged pores from Chronic oil overproduction, sun damage thickening the stratum corneum and collagen loss causing the pores collapse inwards and look more pronounced.
It's not just clogged pore is actually a structural issue
So what can we do to fix this?
At home add niacinamide, ideally 4 to 10%. This is going to regulate oils and increase keratinocyte cohesion so the pores appear tighter.
Try Retinol to stimulate collagen production and increases cell turnover to get rid of all that dead skin. It thickens your dermis making your pores look smaller.
Or try azelaic acid if you have a sensitive red skin (10 to 20%). That's going to reduce the roughness. Smooth micro texture and reduce any inflammation.
Because it's partly an issue with collagen loss, sometimes this isn't enough. In salon microneedling treatments with exosomes and red light therapy is the treatment you need!
So orange peel skin is fixable with good skincare and the correct treatments.
Select Microneedling tab and select Microneedling with choice of active solutions. All our microneedling sessions come with 20min light therapy.
Have an amazing week
